Dominant Pitching Staff Leads the Way

Vitello's Vision Takes Shape

The University of Tennessee's 2024 recruiting class has been ranked as the No. 1 class in the nation by Perfect Game, a testament to the efforts of assistant coach Josh Elander and pitching coach Frank Anderson.

The Vols' pitching staff is led by four top-150 recruits, including Camden Hays, a hard-throwing right-hander who is ranked No. 11 overall. The other top-150 pitchers are Caleb Hampton, Evan Russell, and Harrison Taylor.

Elander and Anderson have also brought in a number of talented position players, including infielder Aidan Miller, outfielder Jaylon Jones, and catcher Owen Binford. These players add depth and versatility to a team that is already poised to compete for a national championship.

Head coach Tony Vitello is excited about the future of the program. "This is a special group of young men," Vitello said. "They have a great work ethic, they're all talented, and they're all committed to winning. I can't wait to see what they can accomplish on the field."

The Vols' 2024 class is a testament to the hard work of Elander, Anderson, and Vitello. It is also a sign that the future is bright for Tennessee baseball.
