Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final of the UEFA Champions League at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday night.

The Spanish giants were crowned champions of Europe for a 15th time, with second-half goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr seeing off the challenge of the German side.

Carvajal opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a stunning strike from outside the area, before Vinicius Jr made sure of the victory with a close-range finish in the 85th minute.

The win was Real Madrid’s third in the competition in the past four years, and it moved them level with Bayern Munich on 15 European Cup titles.

It was also a special night for Vinicius Jr, who became the youngest player to score in a Champions League final since Lionel Messi in 2009.

The match was played in front of a capacity crowd of 90,000 at Wembley, and it was a fitting stage for such a historic occasion.
