Crowds React Strongly to Candidates' Remarks
Republican 2024 Presidential Debate Draws Attention
The first Republican primary debate of the 2024 presidential primary, held in Milwaukee on Fox News, featured strong criticism of former President Donald Trump and heated reactions from the audience.
Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy drew jeers and boos from the crowd when he called Trump a "tyrant" and a "threat to our democracy." Several other candidates, including former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, also criticized Trump's policies and leadership style.
The debate, which aired from 9 to 11 pm, featured four GOP candidates: Ramaswamy, Haley, DeSantis, and former Vice President Mike Pence. The event was hosted by Fox News and marked the first time these candidates had faced off in a televised debate setting.
The Republican National Convention has partnered with Rumble, a video-sharing platform, to exclusively live-stream the debate. Viewers can also watch the event on Fox News and Fox Business, as well as on the Republican National Committee's website.
