Fugatti Wins Second Term as President of Trento Province
Incumbent Lega Politician Secures Victory in Provincial Elections
Fugatti's Coalition Maintains Majority
Maurizio Fugatti, the incumbent president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, has secured a second term in office following the recent provincial elections. Fugatti, a member of the Lega party, led a coalition that maintained its majority in the provincial council.
As the votes were counted, Fugatti's lead became increasingly clear. The Trentino Tyrolean Autonomist Party (PATT) initially decided to run separately, but later withdrew its candidate in favor of Fugatti.
Fugatti's victory represents a continuation of the Lega's dominance in Trento Province. The party has held the presidency since 2018 and has consistently enjoyed strong support in the region.
